The experience starts the moment you step inside. The space feels comfortable and lively, with a buzz that suggests people are here to enjoy themselves, not rush through a meal. The menu is clearly designed to work well for both lunch and dinner, giving diners flexibility depending on the time of day. Portions feel thoughtfully considered, making it just as suitable for a light midday break as it is for a longer, more indulgent evening meal.

Dinner tends to be especially popular, and it’s easy to see why. The atmosphere shifts slightly in the evening, becoming warmer and more intimate, which is why dinner reservations are recommended. What really stands out is how consistently the experience comes together. The setting, the service, and the flow of the meal all work in harmony. Reviews often highlight how comfortable it feels to spend time here, whether that’s a relaxed lunch with friends or a planned dinner that turns into a longer evening. What customers say?

“ WOW! The food, the cocktails, the staff, the decor, the atmosphere all absolutely brilliant. We had a large party of 15 and we had the lovely Daria and Ada looking after us. They took great care of us and made our visit perfect. We will definitely be back for more skinny margarita ”

“ Absolutely incredible! Both the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Really nice and relaxed ‘beach’ vibe, makes you feel like you’re on holiday. The food is superb, everything is always fresh and very well thought through. We’ve held a few girls nights here and it always went really well! Very good value for money, would definitely recommend for both casual meals and celebrations. ”

“ After walking past Bardacious so many times, we finally decided to give it a go and I’m so glad we did. It was myself, my wife, and our little one (5YO), and right from the start we felt completely welcome. It’s extremely child-friendly (kids even eat for free, which is such a bonus) and the staff went above and beyond to make our daughter’s experience special. Even the chefs got involved, putting on a little show for her; this was such a thoughtful touch that made the visit unforgettable. The food was nothing short of spectacular. When the staff came over to ask about puddings, we actually ended up ordering more food instead because it was just that good! I had triple servings of both the beef and chicken tacos, while my wife couldn’t resist going back for more halloumi tacos. I’m usually a committed meat lover, but I have to say the veggie tacos genuinely rivalled the meat dishes, as they were packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. Drinks were another highlight. The cocktails were tailor-made by the bar staff, balanced beautifully, and honestly some of the best I’ve had in Bath. All at very reasonable prices, especially considering it’s right in the city centre. It’s the kind of place where you can happily come just for drinks, or make a whole evening of it with food. The service was absolutely exemplary. Axel deserves a special mention, as he clearly runs a tight ship but with such a friendly, welcoming vibe. Mike in the kitchen was fantastic with the kids, where he put on little shows and got the kids all smiling etc. You could see how hard all the staff were working, yet they all looked genuinely happy to be there. The whole kitchen had such positive energy that it spread through the entire restaurant. If you’ve walked past Bardacious before and thought it was “just a bar,” please do yourself a favour and step inside. Whether it’s for food, drinks, or both, it’s an absolute gem. After 15 years of eating out in Bath, this has jumped right to the very top of our list of places to eat. 10/10 will be frequently visiting, especially as they do themed events such as their upcoming Salcombe Gin experience. ”

“ We popped in during a visit to Bath on a Tuesday lunchtime and had no problem getting a table. We were attracted by the menu, which was just a bit different from the norm. It's styled as a Californian restaurant, with mexican and other influences and the food was very good indeed. We had small plates, quisadillas, tacos and nachos with guacamole. The flavours were great and the food, which is freshly prepared in the open kitchen, was good value too. The drinks menu is extensive and sensibly priced by today's standards. Service could not have been better. We were made extremely welcome and looked after brilliantly. We don't go regularly to Bath, but this appeared to be quite a new restaurant. All I can say, is that it deserves to do well. I'm sure we'll be back. ”

“ I recently visited Bardacious in Bath, and I absolutely loved it! We went especially for Taco Tuesday, and I can confidently say — those were the best tacos I’ve ever had. Full of flavour, fresh, and perfectly done! The restaurant also offers great weekly discounts and other events, which makes it a fun spot to visit on different days. I was also really impressed with their cocktail menu — such a wide variety of drinks, there’s definitely something for everyone. The atmosphere and interior are stylish yet cozy, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. It’s also great to know that Bardacious is dog-friendly and even has a kids’ menu, which makes it perfect for families or casual meetups. As a student, I really appreciated the student discount — it definitely helps make dining out more affordable. If you’re in Bath and looking for delicious food, great drinks, and a welcoming vibe, Bardacious is 100% worth checking out! ”

“ What a great Californian inspired restaurant!! The tacos were delicious, but the ceviche toast was one of our favorites. It was fresh, zesty, and perfectly balanced. We also loved the tuna tacos and the roasted cauliflower, both packed with bold, layered flavors. There’s a great range of vegetarian-friendly dishes, all thoughtfully crafted. Cocktails were top-notch, and the desserts were just as memorable. Definitely save room for both. The staff was also increíble, very attentive and friendly. The bathrooms were incredible clean. Overall a welcoming place with food that delivers on every level. We'll be back. ”

“ Nice and quiet, the meat was a bit dry but there is plenty of sauce and juices to dip it in. Waiter was extremely nice and friendly and efficient! Good quality napkins, exceptional sauces! Would recommend the birria quesadillas ”

“ The best restaurant in Bath! First, the vibe is awesome - the decor and the food makes you feel like you’re in California, and the music is on point. The food is so fresh and the menu is extensive yet perfectly curated. Try Steve’s ultimate burger, it’s the best in Bath. Brilliant location close to all the shops in the center as well. Staff was attentive and always available when I needed a refill of my margarita. Love this place and will definitely be back for one of the Saturday night DJ parties!!!! ”
